The Fashion Brands community supports brand, retailer, and group-level participants working to make trusted sustainability information easier to exchange across fashion value chains. It is aligned with The Fashion Pact’s collaborative model, which brings fashion companies together around shared environmental priorities and practical industry action.

The Fashion Pact was launched in 2019 as a CEO-led coalition for fashion and textile companies. Its network includes many global fashion brands and groups, with work organized around collective action on climate, nature, renewable energy, lower-impact materials, lower-impact production, and circular economy approaches.

Within the UN Textiles Protocol context, this community can help brands translate sustainability commitments into interoperable digital product and supplier information. Priority areas include Digital Product Passport readiness, traceable material claims, supplier and facility identifiers, product-level evidence, due diligence reuse, and consistent communication between brands, manufacturers, certification bodies, and policy stakeholders.

Pilot Implementations

  1. Brand Product Passport Readiness Pilot (2026):

Trial brand-side product passport records for selected apparel and accessory lines, focusing on product identity, material composition, production-stage evidence, repairability information, and claim provenance.
