The Textile Manufacturers community supports producers working across materials, components, and finished goods for fashion. It is aligned with the Fashion Producer Collective’s producer-led model, which gives manufacturers a structured space to collaborate, compare implementation realities, and shape sustainability work from the factory perspective.

Fashion Producer Collective was formally incorporated as a non-profit in May 2025 after several years of informal collaboration among manufacturers and sustainability practitioners. Its co-founding members include Epic Group, Pactics, Shahi Exports, and TAL Apparel, with activities designed around bottom-up participation rather than a fixed top-down agenda.

Within the UN Textiles Protocol context, this community can help manufacturers translate UNTP concepts into practical implementation patterns for textile and apparel production. Priority areas include product and facility identifiers, interoperable digital product information, due diligence evidence, decarbonization data, and trusted communication between producers, brands, financial institutions, and policy stakeholders.

Pilot Implementations

  1. Factory Product Information Pilot (2026):

Trial digital product information records for selected textile and apparel production flows, focusing on product identity, facility identity, production stage, material inputs, and claims that can be shared with brand partners.

    Open pilot brief

  2. Producer-Led Decarbonization Data Pilot (2026):

Apply lessons from Fashion Producer Collective’s Bang for Buck framework to test how facility-level decarbonization priorities, investment needs, and implementation status can be represented as trusted digital evidence.

    Open outcome report

  3. Due Diligence Evidence Exchange Pilot (2027):

Explore how manufacturers can exchange reusable evidence for due diligence requests without duplicating reporting work across multiple brand, retailer, and policy workflows.
